@project prepared during the ux design workshops led by Aga Naplocha (The Aaawesomes).
The issue presented was disappointing gifts we are all sometimes given by others. During the whole workshop everybody was supposed to work on various ideas to solve it and to mitigate the risk of getting stuff people not necessarily desire and later on struggle to get rid of it without offending the donor.
challenge
The main challenge of this project was time limitation, as it was two days’ workshop. Also, complexity of the issue and potential ways of addressing it with many different versions of solution were making it a very challenging one.
results
The result is potential idea and prototype of an app that would help employees buy better x-mas gifts for each other.
research
The very first step was preparing in-depth interview with potential solution’ users, so people that struggle with receiving gifts they never wanted, or from the other side of the problem, those who are the actual buyers and would like to give something that would be useful or meaningful for receiver. Interviews conducted with friends and family.
concept
Creating ‘persona’ while working on user flow to familiarize with the whole process that users are facing and get deeper understanding of it. Analyzing the data gathered in interviews together with user flow to create potential solution. At this point, it got clarified that the solution will be tailor-made app for corporate employees with users profiles presenting their interests, hobbies and what they like in general.
prototyping
testing
Prototype was discussed with other participants during the workshop, so they provided feedback regarding the presented solution.
*project was cunducted as a part of life workshop and haven't become an actual app, therefore wider audience testing was limitted
